And while this always comes standard on a brand-new Hyundai vehicle, if you are purchasing a certified pre-owned Hyundai, it may be eligible for a limited powertrain warranty based on the current number of kilometers driven. This type of coverage is good for every type of driver. However, it is important to keep in mind that vehicles used for commercial purposes are excluded from powertrain coverage. 

The Comprehensive Limited Warranty

Most parts in a new Hyundai vehicle are covered for replacement or repair for up to 5 years, or 100,000 km in the Comprehensive Limited Warranty. Some may have shorter time or mileage markers for coverage, though. Adjustments are covered for one year (20,000 km) and the battery is covered for two years, or 40,000 km. More aesthetic components like the paint and audio system are covered for up to three years and 60,000 km. This could be a good warranty to include in your coverage package if you have kids that may spill drinks on the seats or scratch the exterior of the vehicle while they play.

The Anti-Perforation Warranty

The body of your Hyundai vehicle is made of a type of sheet metal which may be prone to corrosion over time. If the sheet metal corrodes from the inside to the outer surface of the car, it will be covered for the first five years you own the vehicle with the purchase of the Anti-Perforation Warranty. The Anti-Perforation Warranty does not include a kilometer limitation and simply goes by the age of the vehicle. Corrosion is something you need to take care of; if you notice corrosion throughout the vehicle, you should bring your Hyundai to an auto body as soon as possible. And with this warranty, you do not have to worry about the cost.
