“ This is just by way of update. I have purchased my second vehicle from River City Hyundai. While my previous sales representative from a number of years ago is no longer there, I was helped by Kylie. She is extremely pleasant and very helpful. I love that River City does not use any high pressure tactics to sell you a vehicle and even when you are in the finance department, there is no high pressure to purchase add-ons. I like that River City is very willing to negotiate fairly. My experience has always been a comfortable one whenever I went in there. I am amending my last review here based on my most recent visit. I booked a service appointment online and this was a little less than seamless because it seems that the site inputs service work based on your vehicle and mileage. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be any way to delete any unwanted service work. However, this was a minor inconvenience as I was just looking to have a warranty issue checked at the time. The service was impeccable from the time I arrived and assisted by the lovely and helpful advisor, Kyna. Everything was explained, timelines met perfectly and enjoyed my coffee with fresh creamer while waiting for my vehicle. The dealership is roomy, never overcrowded with vehicles, giving you the feeling that they have reserved time for you - highly recommended. ”

And we communicated our interest in a used car on their lot about half a week earlier with Sales Manager Brett. He was super easy to communicate with through calls and email and recommended we put a deposit down early so the car wouldn’t sell before our trip. Once we arrived to test drive the car and Robert the salesperson greeted us and had the car ready to go for our test drive. Once we completed our test drive we noticed one of the tires was leaking air and the tire pressure sensor was on. We mentioned it to Robert and had Basam one of the sales manager confirm it would be good to go on Sunday morning. Unfortunately, the tire had a puncture on the sidewall and wasn’t able to be patched like was initially believed. As per the agreement the car was expected to be completed on Sunday morning, although the timeline had to be pushed back to Monday morning. My partner and I had to miss work and stay an extra night, but Basam and the crew at River City Hyundai had our back and fully accommodated our stay and provided a car loaner for Sunday evening! Monday morning the car was ready to go as promised and we had zero troubles driving back home. We heavily recommend the Team and specifically the members mentioned for going above and beyond what we expected during our purchase of the vehicle. Their hospitality and communication were top tier. If you’re considering visiting from out of province go with the team here! ”

“ This is a great dealership, with very friendly staff and professional. I originally bought my first Hyundai at a different dealership, and it was a whole different story, and I decided to get my oil and filters done at Riverside Hyundai, and the whole experience was next level. I made the determination that if I was gonna get another vehicle from Hyundai, it would be there. Their facilities are absolutely beautiful. But onto the most important part: the staff that I dealt with there consistently were friendly, and professional, and accommodating. It does not have the typical cheesy type of sales approach, it was a very nice experience. The salesperson Mike, who sold me the vehicle and to the person who assisted me with delivering the vehicle, they were first class So thank you to Mike, and Adam, the finance manager, and Ray. There was one small difference between what was presented to me as the offer and what was actually on the car at the time of delivery, and I made a suggestion on how to adjust for the value, and they approved of it, so here’s my point: nobody’s perfect, and if you expect perfection, you’re never going to find it, but the dealership seems to be reasonable when mistakes are made to make it up, and this is super important in any sales environment I encourage you, if you’re looking for a car dealership that will have great staff, great experience, beautiful facilities, etc., I would definitely buy my car here if you’re buying Hyundai. You will not be disappointed by a car from the dealership, and will probably become loyal there for many years ”

“ Called to make an annual service and inspection of our EV and to report a noisy cabin fan. Attended the service dept. at our appointment date & time and they quickly resolved the noisy fan issue - no charge, so thank you for that! The service rep said we were all done and when we mentioned the annual inspection she said it hadn’t been marked for service. She quickly resolved it and our service was done that day. She called once for permission to proceed with brake maintenance and said they would let us know when the car was ready. We went by to see how things were going and the car was done, however we weren’t notified by call or text. A few small mistakes. This is the second year we’ve satisfied overall with their service and plan on continuing to use River City Hyundai. ”

“ A fine establishment, I would have no reservations about returning there or recommending it to my friends or family. ”

“ I recently moved from Ontario and took my vehicle to River City Hyundai for a routine service appointment. During the visit, I informed the service advisor that I believed there might be an issue with the rear brakes or brake caliper and asked if they could inspect it. The advisor explained that a brake inspection would be covered under my Hyundai extended warranty only after an inspection, and that there would be a diagnostic fee of $149. I agreed to the inspection. Later that day, I was informed that no issues were found with the brakes or calipers. As a goodwill gesture, the advisor reduced the inspection fee from $149 to $100. Some time later, I noticed that the center cap on one of my rear wheels was missing. During my next service appointment, I mentioned to the same advisor that it may have come off when the rear wheels were removed during the previous brake inspection. The advisor checked with the technicians and later informed me that the wheels had never been removed. I was also told that the brake and caliper inspection had been completed without removing the wheels. I was very surprised by this explanation. Throughout the several years I owned and serviced my vehicle in Ontario, brake inspections always involved removing the wheels to properly examine the brake pads, rotors, and calipers. Since I was charged for this inspection, I expected it to be carried out thoroughly and according to professional standards. My primary concern is safety. Braking components are critical, and if an issue had been overlooked because the inspection was not performed properly, it could have put both my family and me at risk. Due to this experience, I have lost confidence in the quality of service provided by River City Hyundai. I have already escalated this matter to Hyundai Canada and intend to continue pursuing the complaint, as I no longer feel comfortable having my vehicle serviced or inspected at this dealership ”

My experience was extremely bad; after purchasing, they did not honor the warranty, and no support or repairs were provided as promised. It is best to avoid this dealership completely and not deal with them at all." ”

I brought my vehicle in because the transmission failed while it was still under warranty, but they refused to honor the warranty and simply tried to get rid of me instead of helping. Their customer service was terrible, and the staff were rude and unprofessional. In my experience, they make promises about the warranty to sell cars, but when customers need warranty service, they don't stand behind it. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration—buy your vehicle somewhere else. ”

Unfortunately, they outright refused to honor the warranty and just wanted to get rid of me. The staff were extremely rude, and I strongly advise against dealing with them under any circumstances. Brought my vehicle for the 2nd service today, paid $500 for service and car wasn’t even washed, however, it was included in the cost!!! Everything that manager offered to me previously (detailing) hasn’t been done too. It looks like nobody left or read notes at all. So if nobody from Hyundai cares about the customer services, well done. The worst experience I’ve ever had! Why is it so hard to do your job properly?! ”
